Studio Photography
Our studio photography course teaches students to not only take a great photograph but how to stage the scene for that perfect look. The student has the choice of photographic product or people, depending on their interest. In the class the student will learn techniques with lighting, posing and special effects. All aspects of studio photography are dealt with, including using flash, tungsten and ambient light in a studio environment.

Starting off, you will recieve in depth instruction on our studio lighting and how to set fill and key light ratios, as well as hair lights and rim lights. You will also learn the use of barn doors, gells, modifiers and reflectors. We will also go though your equipment selection and camera setup.
If the shoot is with a model, we analyze their strengths and weaknesses and determine how best to accentuate them, and how to minimize their weaknesses. You will learn how to pose the model to accentuate their assets and hide their weaknesses. You will also learn how to use props to create variety.
At the end of the course you will have some amazing shots for your portfolio.
